Verdi's MACBETH

Based on Shakespeare's classic tale, this performance takes place in the Kimmel Center's 200-seat black-box theater Innovation Studio. Sung in Italian, this semi-staged production features a cast of outstanding young singers with music led by Artistic Director Andrew Kurtz and stage direction by General Director Jonathon Loy. Lori Lind (Lady Macbeth), Jorge Ocasio (Banquo) and Daniel Holmes (MacDuff) make their Center City Opera Theater debuts. Returning artists Joseph Specter, Stephanos Koroneos and Teresa D'Amico complete the cast as Macbeth, Il Dottore/Assassin and the Lady-in-Waiting.

A free pre-concert lecture for tickets holder is given at 1:30pm, one hour prior to performance.
