HANSEL AND GRETEL

Sung in English with a new translation by conductor and librettist Barbara Silverstein, this performance takes place in the Kimmel Center's 200-seat black-box theater Innovation Studio. This semi-staged production features a cast of outstanding young singers and designers with music led by Artistic Director Andrew Kurtz and stage direction by General Director Jonathon Loy. Leandra Ramm, Erin Sanzero and Cynthia Hanna make their Center City Opera Theater debuts as Hansel, Gretel and the Witch. Returning artists Janelle McCoy, Christian Roland Burks and Annie Burridge complete the cast as the Mother, Father and the Sandman/Dew Fairy.

GINGER BREAD HOUSE CONTEST
Center City Opera Theater is sponsoring a Gingerbread House Contest! Prizes will be given for the most creative houses in grade categories of K-5, 6-8, 9-12. Bring your gingerbread house to the theater between 1:15 pm and 1:45 pm. After the opera, we will announce our winners and enjoy some cookies and punch!
